I've been participating in swaps on Swap-Bot lately and I wanted to post about the stuff I've sent and a few of the things I've received.
The first swap was a Mad Hatter Tea Party. You had to send a teacup, tea, a card/invitation, a treat of some sort, and a quirky item. My partner wanted to have a tea party for her little granddaughter, so I was really excited about picking out some items.

I also sent sugar cookie mix, a stuffed bunny, a princess tiara, and a card.
I also did a Cupcake Swap:
The package includes cupcake mix, a Cup-A-Cake container, two packages of cupcake papers, sprinkles, sugar crystals, and little candy thingies.
Then there was the Vintage Treasure Swap, just a shoebox full of interesting vintage items. This is what I sent to my partner:
A vintage apron, tea kettle, glass owl, butterscotch bakelite (I think) bracelet, and two birdy glasses. It was very hard to give that tea kettle up.
This is what I received from my partner:
Silly fruit wall hangings, ice cream dishes and scoopers, stationery, sake set, napkins, strawberry things, tiny salt and pepper shakers, and some vintage costume jewelry.
This morning, I sent off another swap- this one was a surprise under $6. My partner likes "obnoxious, brightly-colored" kitchen things.
Not under $6, but I sent her a pitcher (I'd want to use this as a vase) and a vintage Pyrex bowl.
More to come...
